The main room of the community centre is light, bright and airy and lends itself to a wide range of activities. We currently have a number of organisations who use the centre on a daily basis, both during the day and evenings, for a diverse range of activities, from a drop in centre to a keep fit class (see web site for full details). We are proud that some of our regular users have been with us for many years and during their time at the centre have expanded their popularity. Whilst the centre is well used we still have a number of time slots vacant for organisations or individuals who may be looking for a regular venue or even a one off booking. At weekends the centre is available for hire as a party or function venue. We regularly host children’s birthday parties and, of course, full functions for adults. We have also hosted a number of very cost effective wedding receptions. With fourteen large tables available we can seat up to 100 people and the stage is ideal for bands or disco’s. With our house lights the room is soon transformed with a great party atmosphere. Hirers can arrange the tables and chairs and add their own decoration to personalise the room for their party.

Our modern kitchen facilities are available to all of our hirers whether it is just for making cups of tea or the preparation of a full buffet. The kitchen boasts stainless steel food preparation surfaces, a modern cooker and fridge freezer, all of which can be fully utilised within the cost of hiring. Ideal if you want to “do it yourself” or perfect if you bring in a professional caterer.

To make it the perfect venue for your party we have a fully licensed and equipped bar with prices to suit everyone’s pocket. Children are welcome and as a family venue we pride ourselves on keeping the cost of soft drinks to a minimum. Our bar staff are cheerful, quick and efficient and there are comfy chairs provided in our bar room for when you need to take a break from the dancing.

If your struggling with the entertainment we are here to help We can provide a low cost in house disco or karaoke but if you are happy to spend a little more then we know a number of DJ’s and bands we can highly recommend.
And when the night is over we help to take the strain and make sure your day ends on a high. We provide a cleaner which means that you don’t have to worry about returning the following morning when you would rather be in bed sleeping off your special night.
